We, that are, citizens of the United States of America have things available to us that citizens of other countries do not enjoy. We have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Our forefathers created a Bill of Rights for us on September 9, 1789, which was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Bill of Rights was the collective name for the first 10 amendments to the Constitution of the United States. I thought that was amazing that the ten amendments coincided with the ten commandments that God gave Moses to give to the children of Israel. God gave these commandments to Israel to govern their conduct. You have to be a citizen of America for the Bill of Rights to be available to you and the children of Israel had to be born into Israel for the ten commandments to be available to them. When we experience the new birth we are born into the kingdom of God. Let’s look at Colossians 1:12-13. (12) Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: (13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darknessand hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. This is a spiritual deliverance. We are now citizens of the kingdom of God. Ephesians 2:19. (19) Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. God has also provided the citizens of His kingdom with a bill of rights. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is also available to us as citizens of the Kingdom of God. Let’s look at some of the amendments that make up the American Bill of Rights and compare them to the Kingdom of God’s Bill of Rights. The first amendment was freedom of religion. John 8:36 says If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Now let’s look at Galatians 5:1. (1) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. In our  bill of rights we have freedom from Satan and we are free from the law. The second amendment was the right to have a well regulated militia with the right to bear arms. In the Kingdom of God we are members of the army of the Lord and we have divine weapons at our disposal. Turn your Bible to II Corinthians 10:3-5. (3) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (4) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) (5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. Now let’s look at Psalm 149:6. (6) Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand. We have the right to bear arms in the Kingdom of God. The third amendment was: No soldier could be quartered in any house without the owner’s consent. In the Kingdom of God we also have authority and control over our households. We see that in Mark 12:29. (29) Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house. We have to give consent if our house is invaded and spoiled. Now turn to Matthew 16:19. (19) And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. We have the keys to the Kingdom of God and we bind up what we declare unlawful or improper and we allow or loose what we declare lawful or proper. I want to finish this newsletter with the fourth amendment to the constitution which I see violated in the Kingdom of God more than any. This amendment stated that we have the right to be secure from unreasonable search and seizure. Over the last 13 years I have seen many children of God have their rights violated in this area. Satan’s number one desire is to unlawfully search our lives and to seize and steal the blessings that God has provided for us. Let’s start in Job 1:7. (7) And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. What was Satan doing that for? We find the answer in I Peter 5:8-9. (8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. (9) Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. This is happening to everyone in the world not just to one individual. We have the right to be secure from that through our faith and the weapons that we have a right to bear. Glory to God! So stand up and exercise you rights as a citizen of the Kingdom of God and enjoy the benefits that go along with them. God bless.
